Hurricane Maria: Whole of Puerto Rico without power

Sea tempest Maria has thumped out energy to the whole island of Puerto Rico, home to 3.5m individuals, crisis authorities have said.

Abner Gómez, leader of the debacle administration office, said the tropical storm had harmed "everything in its way".

None of the clients of Puerto Rico's Electric Power Authority had any power, he said.
